January 5, 2008 – 2nd Annual “Frost Bite Walk of the North Park Trail.” This Guided Nature and Historical Walk of the North Park Trail is free to public. Approximate duration of one hour.  Meet at the Lock House of the Susquehanna Museum. Walk begins at 10am.

 

January 9, 2008 - Ellsworth B. Shank Historical Lecture series. Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Free to the public. Location/Time: Havre de Grace City Hall - 7PM.

 

February 6, 2008 -  Ellsworth B. Shank Historical Lecture series –  Cemetery Preservation
It is free to the public.  Location/Time:  Havre de Grace City Hall - 7PM.

 

March 5, 2008 - Ellsworth B. Shank Historical Lecture series -  Havre de Grace through Maps  It is free to the public. Location/Time:  Havre de Grace City Hall - 7PM.

 

March 15, 2008 – Guided Nature and Historical Walk of the North Park Trail - Free to public. Approximate duration of one hour.  Meet at the Lock House of the Susquehanna Museum. Walk begins at 10am.

 

March 29 - 30, 2008 - Clontarf 1014 - Medieval Viking vs. Irish battle re-enactment. -Admission. All day Saturday and Sunday.

 

April 9, 2008 - Ellsworth B. Shank Historical Lecture series – County Seats of Harford County. It is free to the public. Location/Time: Havre de Grace City Hall -  7PM.

 

April 19, 2008Tea with Matilda – Bring your doll and join us for a tea party with honored guest Matilda O’Neill.

 

May 3-4, 2008 - RE -ENACTMENT OF THE ATTACK ON HAVRE DE GRACE DURING THE WAR OF 1812. The public is invited to visit the Lock House grounds where the attack will take place and on which the various military units will have their encampments. There will be musket-firing displays, marching and drill, a candlelight tour of the encampment, War of 1812 military hospital and a variety of other historical attractions.

 

May 24, 2008Guided Nature and Historical walk of the North Park Trail. Free to public. Approximately one hour. Meet at the Lock House of the Susquehanna Museum. Walk begins at 10am.

 

July 12, 2008 – Early Maryland History – Pirate Encampment. Come visit the pirates in their camps, watch the attacks on the “town” and cheer on your favorites.

 

July 26, 2008 – Guided Nature and Historical walk of the North Park Trail. Free to the public. Approximately one hour. Meet at the Lock House of the Susquehanna Museum. Walk begins at 10am.

 

August 2, 2008 – 3rd Annual Havre de Race for the Lock House 5K race. Race along tree lined local streets and the beautiful North Park Trail. Race starts at 8:00 a.m.

 

September 20, 2008 – Guided “Nature and Historical walk of the North Park Trail. Free to the public. Approximate duration of one hour. Meet at the Lock House of the Susquehanna Museum. Walk begins at 10am.

 

October 25, 2008 – Spirit Walk – Meet the residents of a local cemetery; listen to their stories, hear about their ends.

 

November 8-9, 2008 – Early Maryland History – Pirate Encampment - Come visit the pirates in their camps, watch the attacks on the “town” and cheer on your favorites.

 

November 15, 2008 - Guided “Nature and Historical walk of the North Park Trail. Free to the public. Approximate duration of one hour. Meet at the Lock House of the Susquehanna Museum. Walk begins at 10am.

 

December 13-14, 2008 - The CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE is held in the historic Susquehanna Museum at the Lock House. This sale has many handmade items, as well as traditional holiday gifts, wreaths, greens, and gourmet foods. 

 

December 14, 2008- The 36rd Annual "CANDLELIGHT TOUR OF HISTORIC HOMES OF HAVRE DE GRACE" is held on Sunday from 4-8pm. Visitors will tour historic homes, Havre de Grace museums, shops, bed and breakfasts, and a church are featured attractions. There is an admission fee.
